Alt DCV checker

Checks the domain-control-validation records certificate authorities look for: a DNS TXT record, a DNS CNAME, or a file served over HTTP.

What is Alt DCV checker?

Certificate authorities validate that you actually control a domain before issuing a certificate for it, usually via a DNS TXT record, a DNS CNAME, or a file served over HTTP — this checks whether any of those three methods are correctly set up.

How to use it

Enter a domain, choose a validation method, and optionally the exact value you expect to find — the tool checks live and reports whether it matches.

Example

Checking DNS TXT for a domain might return the record found, with a match/no-match result if an expected value was given.
